Eggsalad. If you search under wineobator you will find a small write up on my incubator. It is working pretty well with my eggs and others local eggs here at about 5400 feet where i live. I can definately understand dry. You must be just north of Montrose. I used to hunt in that area.
If you chose to construct an incubator like mine. Let me know if you have any questions. I would be glad to answere them. I still have 3 cochin eggs and two goose eggs in there. They should hatch this weekend

Thanks again. without being too sure on info, I'm in Delta County but live in a high wallow. Sounds weird,,, I am higher but live in a small, kinda deep basin swirl. Except for the winds and the dirt ( I don't dust, I dedirt) I LOVE MY PLACE!!! From here to Heaven! I'm calling it night, will check it out in the AM.

Nice looking Roo and I figured had some Marans. I had to dispatch my marans "Simba". Beautiful, but at the time had 35 roosters to 36 hens. Very difficult choices to make. I still have the BCM and a couple of blue copper hens. Great birds. Have a good night.

Well, the birds were singing up a storm here this mornig, I think winter is behind us here at 8200 feet, yeah, right! Four Canadian geese flew in yesterday, hung around for a few hours eating grass in the pasture, and then headed over to the neighbors pond which is more secluded.

Hi everyone we are picking up our chicken coop today!! My hubby has lots of work ahead of him , we are going to build an run for the chickens and then the coop will go into that and in a year or two we are planning on upgrading coop.
Probably going to get a couple of chicks in a day or so . I'm so excited

We live in Wheat Ridge so we are going to go to Walkers feed and seed here and get two or three chicks any advice for brand new chicken people?

I'd get 4 min. Stuff happens. I like to.stay away from the big single Combs for winter but look at pictures of the adult birds and get the ones that you like. Variety and a colorful egg basket make me happy.
