Colorado

I hope she's okay. :/

Speaking of, I was worried about my little d'Anvers last night because she laid an egg tinier than her very first egg. I finally looked up what could have caused it & if I should worry (combo of the worst Christmas I've ever had & my usual forgetfulness). It's a fairy/ghost egg!

I was so glad to find out this wasn't anything to worry about. She's my favourite, but the egg is so tiny & cute, too.

Looks like it has been cold out west. Myfamily and I are currently in TN visiting my parents for christmas. It has been a bit rainy but it has been in the 70's here at the moment. We have a friend animal and house sitting for us at the moment. The trip back starts tomorrow. Looks like i have a lot of rain to drive through and then into the cold weather.
I looked around for hatching eggs but have not had any replies on the west TN thread. It is not as active as our colorado thread.

! Glad you joined us. We're a little slow right now as it's the end of the year and holidays and such, but there are a lot of great folks here, and I'm sure they'll be along to say HI shortly. In the mean time, make yourself at home and

. Happy holidays!

I do not have any yet... We just applied for our permit they will be reviewing it next week.
My husband loves bantams he says they look like hawks and are full of character. So, I'll probably get one of them and I love marans. My mother has a poultry farm in NY that we helped on and then moved here and miss the chicks!
We're doing a DIY A-frame. With 5-7 girls!
