i'm not sure about ft collins but loveland got some rain last night. Right now its cloudy and breezy but so far the rain has held off.

wow, my heart goes out to all of you who are experiencing the smoke.
Today in CS it poured and poured, I sure hope you are getting some of this water up there..

On another note, I talked to the reporter for the Gazette on Wednesday and mentioned the
coop tour going on this weekend. He printed an article about it yesterday in the paper.
Hope this helps build publicity for having chickens as pets.

We are getting some rain here in the south part of El Paso county. Lots of wind too.

I was able to get out early and frame up the last of the small chicken houses. Now I have to install the plywood sides and finish them.

Looks like a good coup show this year. If everything goes as planned, we may be part of it next year. We'll see.

The eclipse is starting! It will be at its max at 730.

We went outside wearing both a pair of Welding goggles and sunglasses and watched the exclipse...it was pretty cool. My kids had never seen anything like it before.

Rock Home- That was an AWESOME idea! We wanted to watch it but the clouds hit just as it was getting good.

Oh, and we have started painting the new coop. Whatcha think? I am going to do blue celtic crosses across the nest box, multiple different colored flowers on the sides and back and I have this big red metal flower I am going to hang on the front. BTW, it's getting dark and I can still easily make out the coop. It almost glows.
