I'm getting 25 SS from Tony Albritton in early April, those will be nice quality birds, but I don't expect to be letting any leave until late summer. I have been thinking about getting some pullets from McMurray - had them before from them, and they were pretty good for hatchery birds in terms of appearance, much like the girls I have now from a different hatchery - nosy, friendly, pretty, good foragers, really fun to have around, and the best grasshopper hunters ever

If you want to wait for the Albritton birds it will be August or September, but if you just want pullets for the laying/foraging flock and don't need SOP-close, I can add some to the McMurray order. It is my favorite breed, no question, although Leghorns are a close second. The SS have great camouflage and I love their personalities
