Are the PBR from your own flock?

My original pbr I'm not sure where they came from as they were full grown and a gift from my BIL? Last year and the year before that we got a few from hatchery with an assorted special. However, from the original girls we have three generations.

Well, with only two they can't hardly even warm each other, really need a minimum of 5 or 6.

Hi from Northern Colorado. Don't have anything but a coop in a box at the moment. Still working on getting our permit. A little terrified and a lot excited!

I've only had my chicks for 5 weeks, so I can remember the 'terrified' feeling. Don't worry, that'll pass quickly and everyone will settle into a routine and be happy little chicks!

We got our hardware cloth from Amazon, and lucked out with free shipping. Better prices there then I was able to find anywhere else, but if I had had to pay shipping they would not have been as cheap.

I purchased mine from Amazon as well. 3 very large rolls. MUCH better price than anything around here.

Yay Pozees! I have been wondering where to get some Silkies as a gift for hubby. I would take ten silkie chicks, any color you can get. I knew you had some Catdance Silkies, but didn't think you were selling those. So, I would for sure go in on an order with you, of any breeder, as long as you think they're nice and fluffy. Hubby isn't too picky, he just couldn't believe how fluffy our two are, and would love a "herd of silkies". Let me know what your thoughts on cost are, and if I need to order more then ten for a complete order with you.

Edit-I got so excited about silkie chicks I didn't read slow enough...if you think you'll be hatching out some chicks soon, like within the next three months, I would buy from you then. Instead of you putting in a huge order for chicks, while having all those adults.

I am certainly hoping to hatch some out right away, it depends on how much of an interruption the shipping creates in the 4 new hens' laying. From what I've been able to gather, like most things with chickens, it all depends LOL. I'll keep you posted on whether they resume laying quickly.

I'm looking for eggs to set the week of the 15th. Does anyone have any fertile heritage breeds that I could purchase? I would also take a good barn yard mix though too. I'm looking for Iowa Blues, Ameraucana, Welsummer, Orps, Australorps, Marans, Blue Andalusians, etc. Let me know if you have any eggs available for hatching.

Oh and Wyandottes.... I would love some Blue Laced Red Wyandottes.

The law won't allow more than 4 here and I won't have a coop large enough for 4 chickens, as they can't free range. The breeds I got said that cold weather barely affects them, so I hope they'll be ok next winter with just the two. They're inside in the brooder for the remainder of this year's winter weather.
