Colorado

I know I saw those

I was eyeing them last year when he had them for FREE but hubby said he wanted to get a shed not one of those

But I think they'd be great after they were modified a bit.

I'm out in Kiowa but if you don't want to drive that far I can always have hubby take them into town and meet you somewhere. We'll have to wait until they're a little older though and can stand being without heat for that long. I usually charge five but for my buds on BYC I'd charge 4.

HI! Glad to see so many Colorado chicken lovers! I feel kind of alone all the way up here in Leadville, but am glad that you are out there! I would love to hear where everyone ordered their chicks from... being about 3 hours away from a major airport has me concerned about having chicks mailed to me. Plus in Leadville, like many other areas, we are only allowed 9 chickens and NO roosters. I have been trying to order from Three S Farms... any info on that?

High Mountain Chick

Can chickens live that high? We spent the night in Leadville about 20 years ago. That was hard breathing. Of course we lived in Tx then. Now we live on the eastern plains.

Here are several families up here you keep chicks without an issue. I think animals adjust better than people. I wish I could get chicks from someone up here but we all face the same problem.. no roos allowed! So no chicks for sale.

to the feed stores in the next few weeks

We've ordered ours from Ideal, 2 shipments, the first one was great and the other ships on the 4th.
