Colorado

Anyone else having this problem? All 3 of the apple trees that came with the property, probably 10 years old, have big fat buds and one has new growth. They flowered and produced for the first time in 3 years last year. Any recommendations to save this year's crop?

Thankfully none of the new fruit trees have broken dormancy.

I have a mille fleur d'uccle hatching today (hopefully), but its the only one of the eggs to make it to hatch. Going to need a couple friends.

Two questions... anyone have a newly hatched chick or two? If I get a baby from feeder supply it will be vaccinated for marek's. Is there any concern that this home hatch won't be and having them together. I have read mixed opinions. My current flock is mixed. Some are some aren't. But i wasn't sure with babies how it works.

No idea. Murdoch's was gearing up for their chicks, so maybe some are closer, depending on where you live. I have had a mixed flock as well with no issues, but we also are not in a high Marek's area.

Thanks. They aren't getting them for a few more weeks i believe. I am not far from Fort Collins so will probably go there on Friday if this little one hatches.

Feeders looks like they are moving chicks just as soon as they come in. I'd pick up (2) week olds tomorrow before the new chicks show up. Less chance of losing any. I have unvaccinated chicks showing up tomorrow but they are all standards.

We are located in north Denver Colorado. Most likely in need to rehoming some of our hens. Unfortunately a few are just way too loud for our neighborhood. The rest are just fine but we have a Spitzhauben mix named Gojo who has the loudest egg dance I have ever heard. Gojo is our absolute favorite hen so we are incredibly sad it has come to this but we feel like we have tried everything. We will also most likely be rehoming a Silver laced polish named baby cakes. Pictures down below. Still may need to reduce flock even more :( I know this is a big ask but looking for a great home for these lovely hens!
