Colorado

In Colorado, a 2 hour drive is nothing. On the East Coast, they act like 2 hours is a trek across the globe

Blessings to you and little Jasmine...

And welcome here! I'm up near Meeker, so not so far from you, in Western Colorado terms, that is!

Not far at all, my husband has to come to meeker every once in a while to install flooring. He owns his own flooring installation bussiness and has had too drive two hours one way to get too a job sometimes. Since your user name is ALPINE farm, can I take it that you raise alpines? Don't happen to have any french alpines do you?

Hi all so nice to hear from locals. I am up Craig way and you are right I would not think twice about just running up to Meeker or anything else two hours away, thats considered close. I have to drive 45 minutes just to get to town. I would love to participate in any trades/swaps of our fine feather friends. I have raised chicks to pullet age then sell on swap shop several years now. I am also thinking about breeding my own crosses, but have not gotten very far past thinking about it. I have 23 10 week old comets and black stars to replace some of my 25 older hens , two antique barred rocks, and two 11 yr old ducks that still lay. I usually always have extra to sell or trade. I currently am in need of a rir roo, or white rock roo. I have never had a roo before and would love to hear from anyone about managing them and how to no disrupt the flock and so on. Thanks

Umm....ummm....I don't know what an "alpine" is exactly, let alone a french alpine....sounds like a goat, maybe?

Don't have anything but 9000' altitude alpine air up here!

Which is why we named our farm that. We are about an hour east of Meeker, up in the Flattops.

Hey, guys....I have a very handsome black Ameraucana/EE cockerel (6 mos?) that I'm needing to find a good home for. He's easy to have around and he was hatched from a nice blue egg. I am torn about letting him go, am attached to him, and he has a very nice personality. He has a pleasant crow and he also "barks" once in awhile...no joke!

I am still trying to rehome my rouen drake Bungie. I had someone lined up to get him but they totally flaked out on me. I am getting a Welsh Harlequin drake to breed with my WH girls, so the rouen needs a new home.

FREE to BYC members.

Delivery available if you are between Colorado Springs and Denver.
