Colorado

Hi Hogback, just joined myself a few days ago. I havnt heard of that breeder, I live about 5 minutes away from Hudson. If your ever out this way your welcome to have a look at my Light Sussex chicks. If all goes well they should hatch in about 2 1/2 weeks. I am hoping for a few Coronations out of them as the parents are split for Coro recessive.

Hi Cara, Coopa Cabana and Stickers. Thanks for your thoughts.

I do not know if Eric Fulenwider is associated with Fulenwider Farms - it would make sense. Here's a link to Fulenwider Farms website:

http://www.fulenwiderfarms.com/Waterfowl---Poultry.html

The contact person listed is William Fulenwider - and that is the sum total of my knowledge about this hatchery. Stickers, you have some interesting birds. I will keep you in mind. I am not ready for chickens yet - May 2011 is my target.

I would love to support local folks and not subject my chicks to the mercies of the postal system. I live out in the boonies, and I worry about prompt and safe delivery.

Stickers, I am pretty close to you! Perhaps we could meet sometime for a coffee and talk birds? I have few friends I can talk to about my chicks another would be great.. And anyone else round here who wants to join also!

actually I just looked at some pictures of other turkeys and maybe I do have both hens and not toms like I thought..

These are my first turkeys so its a learning curve I suppose. But they are cross of royal palm mom and bourbon red dad. So I guess either breed will work, but findin a tom may be much easier for me.
