We might want to watch out what we are joking about, espeically in threads outside of threads that are 100% joking. And then in threads that are jokes, maybe they should be clarified in the title that they are a joke.

New members, unexperienced people, or even unwitting kids may come by, not see the joke and really try such a thing. And that would be a tragety.

Poultryraiser - PC is trying to make a point that people shouldn't buy hatchery dyed chicks because he feels they are tortured (at least that's what I got out of it). They are not seriously doing this to their chicks. The others are responding to make humor out of it. No one on this site would do such things to their chicks. We are all here because we love them and want to make their lives better.

I hope that clarifies this for you. I am sure the group who participated in that thread had no intention to upset anyone, other than to open eyes about "not purchasing novelty chicks for Easter".

Thats why my mommy never lets me dry my hair with a hair dryer or chainsaw things.
