Columbian vs Buff Columbian

If I had a buff hen and a Columbian male, would it be sexlinked? Or no?

No. The pullets would be silver and cockerels would be silver gold het. So white with yellow leakage.
The other way around is sex linked.
Idk what the difference between gold and silver columbian chicks is though.

Dang. I have a Columbian male and the hatchery is selling buff Columbians next year. Was trying to think of a way to keep him

The only difference is their sex Linked nature(buff columbian are sex linked recessive gold and Columbian are sex linked Silver)

I haven't seen the buff, I'll look in a moment, but the silvers are a light pearly grey with black superhero capes

It depends on the e allel backgroud. Most are eb
