What's your plan to help cool your coop and or run this summer? I can see it now in the middle of summer with all posts about,"it's over 100 degrees, how can I cool do my coop"? Kinda like those with the winter cold. Please people, be proactive and not reactive. I'm installing this fan from Amazon for supply a little above the nesting box about 6 inches. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DXSVLB7S?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 I also have this fan on order for exhaust https://www.amazon.com/Solar-Exhaus...769786086&s=hi&sprefix=,tools,171&sr=1-4&th=1. Now go do the right thing

I put hooks on my bantam coops so when it is super hot I can put one of the pigs fans up for the chickens

It doesn't get very hot here and my coop is in the shade much of the day. But last year I used a box fan in the window (facing inside; air intake from outside). I just need to clean it up with the leaf blower and maybe attach a furnace filter to it and I think it will be good to go another summer.

Oh, nice idea about the furnace filter!

Do you try to fit one exactly to the fan’s dimensions, a little bigger, a little smaller, or what?

I actually haven't done it yet, but I think if I can't find the exact size I'd want to err on the side of too big.

I have a fan that goes in one of the windows to force a breeze and I use a simple timer on that. The coop is under a large oak tree so they have deep shade seasonally, that helps a great deal plus there is a lot of ventilation.
