Columbias

I have recently hatched out some chickens for a friend, and she told me that they were Columbias.However I have never heard of that breed nor have I seen it.... have any of you backyard chickeners heard of it or have it? Just wondering

Hopefully if I'm totally off base here, someone will come along with the correction.

I think Columbian refers to a color pattern rather than a breed.

and here is a google search on "chicken color columbian" which shows a number of chickens INCLUDING a rooster that I was keeping for a friend....(he's an Easter Egger) who is the father of the chicks I hatched............. Quite a surprise. He usually comes up about the 4th picture or so......
rather than search---I will put a copy of his photo here....

so there can be Columbian Wyandots for example...
