Rustic Rock breed?

Just got 12 rustic rock off TS. I am not familiar with this breed or ever heard of them.. the photo looked like barred rock but with some more white in the coloring... since all of our barred rocks have since passed I really wanted more but all the hatcheries were sold out, I'm hoping these have a similar temperament to barred rocks. Does anyone have any info on this breed?

Thank you for this! I must have missed this thread! Hopefully they will be alot like my barred rocks were... I had a hard time finding any of them this year, so far they are starting to look a good bit like barred rocks but they have a lot more white on them. They are also pretty docile birds so far that I've noticed.

I am getting a couple in a few weeks and those threads were all I could find too. The person I ordered them from described them as “good foragers” which is why I purchased them. I guess we’ll find out!

I guess we're in this together then, lol! So far theyvseem to be pretty good birds, time will tell as they get older... I do miss my barred rocks though, I really wanted silver laced waynedottes this year too but it was not a good year to be picky about breeds with all the chicks selling out so fast that's for sure!

Ugh that’s basically what happened to me-went to buy four particular breeds and they were out of two of them so I took a chance. I pick them up in three weeks and they will actually be pullets so I can post some pics then. If I decide I don’t like them at least they will be easy to sell haha
