Okay... I only have ladies. Could that delay the onset of laying?

Also, I saw someone write about the pullets combs turning more red and thinking it was signaling that laying may commence. Is there any truth to that? Because I have 2 Australorps and a BR that meet that description.

Please... put me out of my misery and false hopes.

Patience, patience... it's SOOOO hard to wait.

BUT, if you really have girl chickens (and I'm sure you do) at some point you'll get some eggs from somebody!

Yep, the comb color is a true indication that the lay is on. During molt combs will be very pale.

Okay... because I have ONE girl that is for certain almost ready then. Whew... There are two right behind her and the rest have a bit to go...

I guess I'll go check today, then... I was taking a break.
