I'm worried about the coloration and also the scabs on the combs of two of my Buff Orpington's. Is this normal?

The scabs are pecking wounds. Pecking woulds are a sign of past disagreements. It's a normal part of chicken society.

Comb color can vary greatly throughout the day according to how the chicken feels, whether they are stressed or depressed. That too is normal.

If a comb is blueish and remains so and the chicken seems depressed and inactive or you hear crackling as it breathes, then you may suspect illness.

Thank you so much!
