Please don't end the comb contest. LOL, my camera needs charging...my tomatoes still need to be canned...but I really want to enter my rooster. I even let them out early hoping I could get a shot in front of the garden.

How To Judge...

Judges, I will PM you with a category or categories to judge.

You may have another judge (or two) judging with you, but you don't need to worry about discussing your judging with him or her or them. This will work out so that everyone can judge the contest on their own schedule.

1. Copy and paste your list for the category you are judging (see above post) into a PM.

2. Assign a score for each bird. Give the bird a score for each of these three categories:

(a) representation of comb type (look at the comb) -- Score 1 (low) through 10 (high)
(b) photo quality (look at the photo, angle, etc.)
Score 1 (low) through 5 (high)
(c) beauty/originality of the bird (look at the story, feathers, anything else that makes the bird stand out to you)
Score 1 (low) through 5 (high)

Your score sheet might look like this...

JoeForumMember 9 3 2
JaneForumMember 8 4 5
TomForumMember 10 5 3
etc. etc. etc.

3. PM your results to me. I will add them up once I receive scores from everyone who is judging. The bird with the most points overall will get first place. The bird with the second most number of points will get runner up. ***If there are ties, I will contact you.***
***Please finish this by Friday, September 4 at midnight.***

4. "Best of Show" -- I will need your help in judging between the first place winners in all of the categories to decide Best of Show. I will PM you when it is time to judge for that.

Prizes:
-- certificate mailed (or PDF e-mailed if privacy is desired) to the winners and runners-up
-- possible invitation for birds to appear on BYC comb information page
-- "Best of Show" will receive a drawing by Envirogirl11
