I thought about it after I asked if I could enter my own rooster. I will post him as an example as to of what is needed in the contest!

Category: d. Rose Comb
Breed: Hamburg
Name: Martin
Age: 3-4 yrs.
Fun Facts or Story: This bird and his 'wife' were the first birds I got for showing. When I saw them in the sale room of a local show, I just couldn't refuse!

Category: b. Cushion/Pea/Walnut Comb
Breed: Ameraucana
Name: Poofie
Age: 3 yrs.
Fun Facts or Story: It was this baby's poofie cheecks that first caught my attention at a poultry auction; without even considering if I had enough space for more chicks, I bid on a box of 15 Ameraucanas. I won that auction at only $0.25 a bird. Every one of these chicks lived to be adults!

Category(ies): a. Single Comb and h. Most Unusual-Looking Comb
Breed: d'Uccle
Name: Little Guy
Age: 4-5 yrs.
Fun Facts or Story: Even though this rooster cannot be shown in a 'real' poultry show because he has side-sprigs, and has lost a spike in his comb (he got in a fight with a Turkey at his previous owner's home), he is still my all-time favorite chicken because of his sweet personality and looks

Category: Single Comb
Breed: Copper Black Marans
Name: Lightning
Age: 5 months old
Fun Facts or Story: Here is Lightning enjoying some cold watermelon on a hot summer day. His comb is the same color as the watermelon. He just digs right in there and gets his wattles and an inch of his comb all juicy when he is in serious watermelon mode.

OK! for my very first attempt to enter a contest, & 2nd attempt to post a pic, lol, here we go:

Category: single comb
Breed: Splash Andalusian Roo
Name: Gumbo
Age: 4 1/2 month
Fun Facts: Gumbo originally came in as "Peanut"-the smallest & runtiest of the bunch & only Andalusian (added on a whim). I was vacillating on 'him-her' when I walked out one morning & heard a rusty, questioning attempt at a crow. Investigation proved that it was indeed, Peanut. Who now is renamed "Gumbo" so in case he does not behave, well....
but he is a very nice roo, both to the hens & to us, & is going to be a beautiful splash when he matures. His silver-white body is offset by maturing saddle & tail feathers in all shades of blue & grey.
So, he will stay.
But he still crows a question mark! he sounds like he isn't sure what he's saying. I never had a roo sound like that before! Maybe it's an Ohio accent, since he came from Meyer Hatchery!
