If you cross a pea comb chicken with a single comb - what type comb will the chicks have? How about rose comb with single comb - or - pea comb and rose comb? What comb is dominant?

Pea x Single = Pea with a copy of Single

Rose x Single = Rose with a copy of Single

Rose x Pea = Walnut

That's the general consensus of it, though many people have cross Pea x Single and get many single combed birds.

Do you have a link to what you are referring?

Year of the rooster is correct in the breakdown but only if the pea comb and rosecomb are pure. If the comb type is hetero and has one copy of pea/rose and one copy of Single they will still be either pea or rosecombed. But when crossed to a single comb that will produce both types of combs. Not sure if that makes sense or not. Hope it helped.
