Comb Problem?

Does this look like a lice or mite problem? It started on my small roo and now is on the big one. I thought it might be dried blood but they are all the same size and shape and seem to be getting more everyday. The big roo is dominant but I have never seen them fight. Small circles black in color.

This can be very helpful. Although yours looks more like dried blood to me, it would be good to rule out the raised pustules that scab which occur with fowl pox.

I'd check for fighting between roos, biting flies, etc in your yard. Then of course do the over-all check of them - their weight, etc. Check for parasite against their skin that might be making them scratch at their heads and causing them to cut themselves with their own talons.
