In a batch of 2 week old sexed Ameraucana chicks, we have a few with pea combs and a few with single combs. All of the pea comb chicks are turning pinkish. These are the first pea combs we've had so I'm curious to know if pea combs generally start showing color before single combs?
FWIW I have no other reason at this point to think they are roos (no thick legs, chest bumping, etc), they are just all pinker than the single combs.
