Hello all,
I noticed today my silver campine had a big scabby bit on her comb, looked like it had been pecked so I picked her up for further investigation. It was quite solid and crusty so I applied a bit of coconut oil. Then I noticed she had some white spots on the other side of her comb. She is unfortunately bottom of the pecking order so she does often have a scabby comb from being pecked, so I thought the white patches were possibly scars that have healed but with the crusty bit, I'm now not so sure. It does look a bit better after the coconut oil and when I picked her up to take these pictures it is noticibly softer but obviously want to know whats best for her.
Other than the comb she is happy and running around hunting for food like normal and laying daily.
Thanks, please see pics.
