Comb & Wattle

I also have some that turned red on the head started laying, then just stop, I have searched high and low for hidden nests with no luck. Some that went broody (10 days to 3 weeks laying) with or without eggs to set on. If they have hiding places that they could hide a nest,,, look!

Year of the Roo, well one of my girls throws out males, I may have 1 or 2 females from her, but mostly dumplings. I call them "Jail Birds" as they are BSL's (Ameraucana Over Barred Rock) and are stripped/barred like Moma. The rest of the girls (that I set eggs from) have given me a mix of about 50/50, and my bestest most favorite girl gives me about 80% girls! I have sat eggs from 3 different sources, and got about 50/50 from them as well. I grew tired of all the roo's (at least until I get my whizbang finished) and started setting the BR eggs on the table! The RIR's exactly 50/50, 1 Roo and 1 pullet from 24 eggs, their eggs go the table as well!
