Here are google image search results for Golden Comet- they have a single comb.

Agreed (usually); Golden Comet is one of a number of labels under which some hatcheries market their Red Sex Links which are produced by crossing red gene roosters (RIR, NH, or PR) with silver gene hens (Delaware, Light Sussex, or silver factor White Plymouth Rock). The only exception which could occur is if a rose comb, silver gene hen such as a rose comb Rhode Island White (a lot of hatchery RIWs have single combs) or a Silver Laced Wyandotte were used in the RSL cross, particularly if they were crossed with a rose comb RIR rooster. The picture below is an example of the rare Golden Comet exception.
