Combs and ages

My bantams are black wyandottes they have rose combs we believe they are males but they are almost 5 months old and theyre combs aren't much larger than the pullets when do the combs become more developed and retain the rose comb shape

By 5 months of age, you can sex by the presence of male feathering.
