Hi there! Please help, I'm new to this and my buff Orpington had developed this beautiful large bright red comb a few weeks ago, she then began laying, I have since noticed that it seems to be turning pale more of a pink color an when up close you can see white in the creases an lines which might be making it appear lighter....is this normal or a sign of something. Here are my best photos. Thanks for any help!:D

That's the normal wear and tear of the comb. However, a dulling comb can be a sign of a hen that has stopped laying, perhaps because she is broody, molting, sick, hot, ect.

I hope this helps. Best of luck!

My 3 girls have done exactly the same thing only they aren't old enough to lay yet. Very mild whity stuff.... Im gonna try a small bit of yeast cream and see if that helps maybe next friday when i can watch them all weekend to see if it clears it up a bit.
