We have a big, sunny run for our chickens. The flock is young but when we open the door for them to come out, they won’t. This has been happening for a couple weeks. Do they need to come out? Should I force them out? They aren’t laying age yet. Any advice would be appreciated.

They’ll be fine, they will come out if they want. Throw some meal worms in the run or put the water and the feeders out there.

More specifics. How old are they? Have they ever come out on their own?
Usually, they'll come out when they are ready.
I've had flocks of chicks come out right when I first opened the door and other flocks that wouldn't come out for a month or more.
Creatures of habit, they feed off of what their flockmates do.
