I have conceded defeat and let the chickens have the flowerbed. These are 2 of the four Golden Comet girls enjoying their turn in the loose dirt.

These two are Dorothy (larger comb) and Rose. (the other two are Blanche and Sophia, of course!

Who doesn't like the golden girls?

Thats so cool! I have 4 red sex-links, and I was thinking of naming them after the Golden Girls, just like you did. Thats so funny!
And very wise to just give them the flower bed. Its easier to give in then to constantly fight them

I thought about trying to reclaim the flower bed, but they just looked SO happy, and when I'd start to shoo them out, they'd look up at me with those eyes, and that was it... I was a goner. They've got me wrapped around their little toesies...
