I rescued a 10 month old jack russel pup He is still learning the ropes here. I had him in the run while feeding today. we were in the duck run and the drake took off, he wasnt trying to hurt him ,just if some one running he wants to run with them. I swatted him and give him a stern NO! So he goes and sets by the door. I let him through that gate into the main run . he went and stood by the gate out . my golden commet surrounded him and comminced to whooping on him

I let him out into the yard he looked like down hearted about geeting his butt kicked by chickens

He wouldn't even go bact to the outside of the run

When my Rottie was a pup she used to like to chase the chickens, till my old BR hen landed a good solid peck on her nose. She left them alone after that lesson! hope your dog does too.

Made my yellow lab sit in the run tonight, then lay down, for about 20 minutes. The 5 week old chicks just fed around him. If you have dogs, acclimate them to chickens. Cedar did well tonight.
