LOL! I know where you are all coming from. Have an 8 yr old daughter who made a 3 day old birthday cake for them out of play-Doh & sang happy birthday.

I am so happy to hear that because my chicks are two weeks old now, but last week i actually called out sick for work because i didn't want to leave them all day alone in case the water got dirty or the food was spilled it's crazy. things have gotten a little better this week but i do still get up through the night and look in on them and worst of all you guys THEY ARE IN OUR BEDROOM! it was hard at first getting used to the light being on and them moving around but we have adapted. thank God my husband is a good guy LOL. i was going to put them in the barn this weekend because i am on my second brooder (they grew out of the tub after the first week) but i am so worried i will be out there all night checking on them. it is still cold at night here and really hasn't been that great during the day either. i really hope this new brooder will last at least another two weeks before they grow out of it. Maybe the weather will be better and i won't worry so much. I will say that i really do have a new appreciation for the work a mother hen puts into her chicks. Good luck to everyone with your chicks.I'm glad I found this forum, because before this I myself thought I was weird.
