I got two runners at the weekend and I don’t think they’re eating much of their food. The breeder told me they were on growers pellets ad-lib.
They have a little run and have been doing a lot of foraging but the food pellets I leave out for them look to have been hardly touched.
Also I’m unsure of how to give them pellets. At the moment I’ve fashioned an old bucket turned upside down on a plant pot saucer, the bucket has a little bit cut out the bottom so food can spill out.
But I feel like I’m throwing out so much because it gets wet and I read it’s not good for the ducks because it spoils. What do you all use?

What brand/type are you using and is it the same as what the breeder had them on?

Are you feeding them any other treats?

Do they have water deep enough to dunk their entire head in? (This is important to help them swallow)

My ducks feed currently is just kept in heavy ceramic bowls. I don't like to mess with special feeders with ducks since they are harder to clean so I keep it simple.
