Hello everyone,
I just got 3 Americuana, and run into nothing but problems, showing me how little I know about chickens :)
For the last 3 weeks google was my friend, in trying to find out what's going on. One is sick, and trying to figure out if one of them is a rooster or a hen. Several times this forum came up on my endless searches, so this was the next step. I have sooo many questions!!!!

Welcome.
Whatever the issue, find the area of the forum that best applies and ask away.

It is best when you start by understanding that they are outdoor livestock and treat them accordingly.
Start with healthy stock, give them plenty of space, lots of fresh air with big windows, clean water and fresh chicken feed and all will be well.

You can post photos of you unknown bird at "what breed or gender is this." You could also post photos here and we will try to id for you. Welcome to Backyard chickens.

If you have a sick bird post in full detail at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread

Thank you, I already posted about my sick bird and waiting anxious for a reply :-D
I still have to take a picture of the bird I think might be a rooster, unfortunately I am not allowed to have one, so I hope it's not.

Welcome to the BYC flock! We are glad you joined us!
