I noticed the cheeping around 9am ,but .... that is just when I noticed it

IT is now almost 4:30 and aside from the small hole and the cheeping there has been no progress. It also pipped the wrong way, in the middle, but towards the pointy end.

Ive used a qtip to dab a little water on that spot and it did get a bit clearer.

What should I do?

What if the other eggs that have had growth are having the same problem but more severely. Is there way I can fix it now to try to help them hatch?

It is day 20 and the peeper was laid the day he was placed in the bator.

Thanks!

Hopefully the chick hatched by now with no problem. If you have that same situation again, I recommend you make a small hole where the egg is piped and make sure you can see the beak so that you know the chick can breathe. I had a chick suffocated inside the egg after it pipped and did nothing for a long time.

I took a peek after a while and it was definitely starting to shrink wrap, so I used a warm wet cloth, chipped away some of the shell, wiped the membrane back a little, and then wrapped him with the paper towel on the exposed parts, and put him back in.

He struggled for a bit, but now he is running around wrecking havoc lol. I got a meter for the humidity levels and they're about 80 now, I had one little guy though, he pipped 24 hrs ago and the white membrane is starting to brown. I am starting to get worried that I might need to intervene again.

Every time you open the incubator the humidity drops. If pipping they could shrink wrap.
I've hatched for 10 years and most pip in the middle of egg...no big deal.
If the chick's membrane is turning brown it's shrink wrapping...I'd turn your shower on hot and steamy then carefully get him out.

80% humidity is way too high. You might drown the little chicks.
