I have a 22wk "Cinnamon" RIR/RIW. She has just started laying. BUT has decided to ONLY lay her egg behind my composters outside of their enclosure. Now I know I need to clip her wings again to prevent her from getting out. BUT I let her "do her business" and then I return her to the enclosure. 2 things happen: 1. It seems to take her about an hour to lay her egg.... is that normal? Is she having problems dilating? 2. When I return her to the enclosure one of my other girls will peck at her. Almost like she is saying " I told you not to go over there!!!" Is that normal pecking order behavior?

Some of my girls also have "ouchies" on their combs and waddles. Not anything to gorey but concerning. Is that normal? Should I be putting something on it?

Please and Thank You for your help!!

One of my girls ALWAYS takes about an hour to lay. Another one does her business so quick I hardly know she's in there. The third raises such a ruckus that I know she is in there.
Don't know what to say about the pecking though.
