compost pile

I've let my ducks into the last of my garden, they have been going in there for the past month and loving it! I planted my tomatoes in a raised bed and wanted to use that area for a compost pile. The ducks have been pooing and having a blast and I'm loving their input ( or should I say output) in the garden.

Would it hurt at all if I just let them around the compost pile through the winter?

I let my ducks romp in the compost pile - if there is anything a bit slimy or questionable, it either goes into a different compost pile (yes I have four of them) where they do not go, or I bury it deeper than they will poke.

ok thanks! I was worried about the slimy stuff too. I think I'll put any slimy stuff in a big flower pot on the table outside and use the duck compost for layering! Thanks again!
