Started a pile with the chick and other yard stuff. First time building compost for use. Searched and can't info on dog stuff.
Useable in pile or not? Dogs are fenced and I get the priviliage(sp) of cleaning either way. Thanks

ed- should this question be somewhere else?

Most carnivore poop takes a lot longer to decompose. Im pretty sure they dont recommend you put it in the faster decomposing pile. Leaves, goat/rabbit/chicken poop, food scraps, and things like that should be in their own pile. You can *probably* compost the dog poop but it will take a lot longer and is going to sttiiiiiiink. Maybe?

does the smell become a issue. living in small town burning is not issue but i would need to be close to the fire Lol

You know, for some reason that I dont really understand, I just cant make myself really consider doing that. Thats weird huh? Not gonna do it, not me.

Hijack alert-I got my first two eggs today-Hijack alert

No...the poo gets dried out pretty much mixed with the tree branches and leaves...and the smoke is what overpowers most of anything...
