Hi everyone,
Curious about your methods for selling chicken poop? Do you just sell it raw, or do you add stuff to it? I've had several requests as spring approaches about getting some for their gardens. What do you charge?
thanks!

Personally I would let them have it for FREE. I suppose you could charge a buck or two for a large bucket full or $20 for a truckload if you have that much. We spread poop on the garden and ammend it into the soil. It is a great fertilizer! Waste with alot of wood chips or straw goes into a compost pile since wood takes time to breakdown.

There are a whole lot of people giving poo away for free. I get truckloads and truckloads of free horse poo every year--Craigs List is full of people who need to get rid of poo.

I personally wouldn't charge for it, since they're doing you a favor by hauling it away and can get it for free if they look around.

If you really want to charge, ask your local Extension office what the chicken poo brokers are getting for it. I once worked in one watershed where every ton of poultry poo produced was brokered out of the county and sold to crop farmers and chemical factories.

Let them come get it for free,or offer to fill their 5 gallon buckets.I say free too.You might
get something free in return one day.$1 for bucket.$15 a pick up.
