Anyone installed a computer fan in an LG incubator to circulate the air? There is probably a post on here that gives instructions and maybe photos of how it is done but I don't have a clue as to how to find it! There is a fan kit available for about $40 but I have an old computer I could gut and save the bucks for laying pellets... Help?

I use the little black transformers that range in voltage from 8 1/2 to 13.8 volts.depending on the size of the fan sometimes its better to use a smaller voltage transformer to slow the fan speed down so that it wont blow the air around in the bator like a small wind storm.and place it at the top.mount it like rebelcowboysnb said that should work fine.

I found a really cool laptop fan at radio shack for 10 bucks. What makes it cool is that it is clear and has 4 blue LED lights that light up the incubator. I use cut pieces of a BIC inkpin as spacers (3/4 inch works for me) and mount the fan so that the air blows up (away from the eggs) and over the heating element. Works great... I hatched 38 of a 42 egg set a little over a week ago. Any 3 inch comptuer fan will work, but the lighted one is just so "cool".

Yea, those light up fans are nice.

Not that you can tell but that fan has those lights but the heat light behind it hides them in the pic.
