My 8month old crested cream legbar (opal) pullet has yet to lay an egg. Tonight I tried to feel her sit bones but could not feel them. Her lower abdomen/vent area feels like a water balloon. She is otherwise bright and alert and eating/drinking normally.

Has this happened to anyone else? I am going to call the vet in the morning.

Attached are photos including her vent.

Hello, welcome to BYC. Your pullet may just be a late starter. She does not have the upright, "penguin" stance we'd expect to see in an internal layer. Please keep us posted, and good luck with her. She's lovely; I'm very partial to lavenders.
