Am a new chicken mom and a little concerned about one of the 4 in my flock (1 BR, 1 Australorp and 2 EEs). I'm hoping fellow BYCers dan give me some advice.

One of my EEs pants a lot. None of the other pullets are panting. The weather has been very nice and not humid at all, with highs in the mid-70s to 81F. They free range and there's lots of shady areas and I have waterers in several places in the yard.

She seems to be behaving and eating normally, from what I can tell. In fact, she's now the heaviest of the 4 chickens.

Is she ill? Or is this normal? Anything I should be doing? Thanks in advance!
