I’ve got a 1 and two month old blue Andalusian who gets a purple comb on the back and tips. (Pics included, but it looks darker in person). It isn’t all day, just usually in the evening when she’s moving around a lot more. I wasn’t too concerned at first because she has a pretty big comb, but today she seemed a little slower than normal. She still went around the yard, foraging a bit, having a dirt bath, ate treats. But she just seemed a bit slower at it, if that makes sense. The heat here during the days can get to the late 90s F with humid well over 60%, so everyone pants like crazy anyway.

She grew up last summer during that incredibly hot July and August, and even as a chick she panted all the time. She’s never dealt well with heat but it never seemed to keep her down. I want to make sure she is comfortable if she has circulation issues or a heart problem, so if there are any herbs or natural things to help her, that would be helpful.

She weighs 5.3 lbs, lays daily, doesn’t eat much during the day but none of them do, eats in the evening, still drinking, no droop tail or wings.

It can be normal sometimes for the tips and the back of the comb on large combed chickens to darken, and get more red. Temperature changes, excitement, and how well they have been drinking can all affect the comb color. Make sure that she is drinking enough, and I usually add more water stations in hot weather, so they get more chances to drink.
