She is a orpington about 3 years old. Her poop seems a bit yellow. Not eating like usual but moltingIs she a bantam or a young pullet? Can you get her drinking some fluids or electrolytes? She may be dehydrated or sick, or have heart problems. What do her droppings look like? Is she eating?
This is her dropping recently. She lost a bit of weight due to lack of appetite. No swelling under her vent or belly.Pictures of droppings can be helpful. Molt is a stressful time, but illnesses can suddenly show up during those times. Has she lost weight, and does she have any swelling of her belly under her vent?
Did you find out what was wrong? I have a hen with the same symptoms right nowHi I have a hen that is molting but she’s been acting a bit more sick than a usual molt. Her comb looks a bit purple. She won’t eat much and her poop seems yellow. Energy seems low. Any ideas what it can be.
Unfortunately she past a couple weeks later. Her symptoms never really worsened but didn’t get better. She became short of breath from any movement even eating. Very sad she was only 3. Best of luck to you we tried antibiotics but it didn’t work.Did you find out what was wrong? I have a hen with the same symptoms right now
