Not sure if anyone remembers lame/paralyzed duck but here we are again. It’s been about three weeks since his 4 day stay at the exotics vet where they had to preform 3 different surgeries to remove the two sewing pins he swallowed. They were of the opinion that the possible zink toxins were what was causing the paralysis. Well $2000 later after I got my duck back he seemed to be on the mend and showing signs of actually mobility & possibly being able to walk again. The original lameness was started to show again after the first few days but still some mobility but as of today he is almost completely immobile and I feel like we’re back to square one. I called the vet back last week and asked if they saw anything else in the X-rays that may offer some insight but they said there was nothing else. I’m feeling so hopeless

So the leg doesn’t seem to be the issue, the earliest Vet apt. I could get was Monday but I found an exotics vet taking me clients about an hr and a half from where I live. I have to pay an additional urgent care fee to get in before December. I’ll let you all know what they say
Not sure if you remember us but we’re in a bit of a pickle. After everything we went through the duck is once again completely paralyzed. But now even more concerning is her leg. I attached one picture of her good leg for size reference
