Here is a photo of how I lock down my eggs. I also have a Styrofoam. I put kitchen liner in the bottom though. Makes for easier clean up.

The water is in the bottom of the styrofoam base. The plastic tray is on top of it.

Can you post a pic of the plastic tray?
Does it have holes so the water can evaporate up?

It looks just like this. I did do a fast switch and put them on the mesh. So far I have 8 out of 12 hatched
