One of my girls laid this egg today. She usually lays a solid lighter color. This was a first.

Should I be concerned or keep an eye on it?
There are many types of funny egg deformities and abnormalities. As long as they get enough calcium (layer food as well as free choice calcium in a little dish) they should be completely fine. I don’t believe this anything to be worried about, it’s normal, what you want to keep an eye out for is soft-shelled eggs which tell you they aren’t getting enough calcium.

Thank you guys so much! I love my girls, they're family to us.
