Concerning Duck Behavior

Hello! The other day I noticed a duck wasnt with the others and right around when I noticed I heard her quacking across the yard. She came barreling over, screaming and puffed up, but there was nothing there. She has continued to do this off and on for 3 days. I checked her over a few times and she's not injured or limping, she's eating, and drinking fine! Still laying too. Just keeps screaming as loud as she can, and runs around with her head tucked down like she is afraid. Could it be because she was by herself and it scared her that much? Or a close call with something? I'm so worried she seems so upset!

I haven't noticed anything but she has been sleeping in a nesting box instead of her usual spot so maybe you're right!

I agree that she sounds broody. Look around for a nest that she may have.

Yall were 100% right!! She just started sitting yesterday! It's my first broody bird ever so I had no idea what it looked like for ducks!
