Concerning silkies, am I the only person in America

It's a fuzzy little creature from an episode of Star Trek called "The Trouble with Tribbles," a creature SO adorable that you just gotta have one. It's a little ball of fluff with no discernable, uh, anything. When they eat, they multiply. (I suppose it's not so easy with Silkies...)

I should have asked my son for tribble meaning.
Well - silkies do multiply extremely well and they do like to eat tomatoes!!!

Tribbles also make a soothing, contented, warbling/purring sort of sound, when you hold them.
