Hey im new to raising chickens and have a pen that I built for my wife's prized Golden Retreiver. After about a grand and alot of sweat, the dog doesnt like the pen and we let her out while we are out. Ive converted the dog pen into a chicken run and going to build a coop soon. We live in the rural part of the county and we are surrounded by farm land. There are plenty of predators. Ive got it mostly secure but my question is...if I put 18"x9" concrete pavers in the ground around the outside perimeter of the run....do you think something could dig in? They weight about 60lbs a piece. Just a thought.

Might slow 'em down, but they could dig under them.
Your best bet is an apron.
Good examples of apron installation, tho I'd not recommend 1/2" HC...go with 14ga 1x2 or 1x1, will hold up much longer and is easier to lay flat.
