Concrete floor under brooder?

I've got chicks coming this week, and have the brooder ready to go! However, I have started to worry about the concrete flooring it is placed on. I'm using one of the tent style brooders in our garage with a brooder plate.
Do I need to worry about the concrete its placed on being too cold ? The temperature of our garage fluctuates from around 60-85 degrees, but the concrete is always a little cool to the touch.

Does the concrete get warm when the brooder plate is on? Are they old enough to roost or will they be sleeping on the floor? Not sure how big of a problem it is or if it is a problem at all, but as a preventative measure you can put cardboard on top of it. If you are putting wood shavings/some other bedding in the brooder they should be fine

Chicks will be freshly hatched, so 1-2 days old by the time they make it to me. I checked several times last night and this morning and I think the plate is warming things up enough that it doesn't seem like the concrete temp is coming through. Thanks! Anxious new chicken mama here!

They'll be fine. As long as they have the brooder plate to snuggle under, they'll be plenty warm. Also, make sure they have enough room underneath to where they have one side they can come in contact with the plate and another side where they can stand without touching it. They'll go where it's most comfortable for them with no danger of baking them or freezing them.
