We're in Colorado, so it's pretty dry. But I'm wondering what you mean by poop boards?

They catch the droppings when the birds are on their roosts. Almost like a litter

Here are my poop boards



They are hinged and fold up for cleaning. its a plywood board with a piece of linoleum on top to keep the wood from rotting. In the front is a 2 x 6 sitting loose in a joist hanger so I can lift it out easily to scoop the poop off the boards. The 2 x 6 holds the weight of the roosts when they are down. I use leaves on the poop board and scoop it out and throw it on a compost pile.
